The wind died and we returned to Port Douglas. Work obligations calling. To be honest, it felt good to stop for a while. After five days of non-stop kitesurfing, we were kited out. I ached all over. Legs, arms, back. It’s the good kind of tired. The one that makes you smile.

One of our favourite spots to stay in Port Douglas is Birdsong. And we were in luck as there were hordes of kids. Lana and Vanea darted out of the caravan at dawn and came back at dusk, barely managing to stay awake during dinner. It was so funny.

Anyhoo, catching up on our work and sorting out the minor repairs on the caravan. The life of a traveller, eh?

Next stop Cairns and Crystal Cascades. Looking forward to going a smidge inland. The heat is getting to us. And it’s not even summer yet in Far North Queensland! What is yet to come?!

We visited Mossman Gorge for a quick respite. What an amazing spot to see! The water is a bit brisk but boy, it is nice to cool off in.

We are Windchasers, a kiteboarding family who travel around Australia to find new and exciting kite spots, we have two small kids that we like take to the beach with us. Juggling kite and family can sometimes be quite challenging so this is us reporting what we find and how good it was for both kids and us.
